C7.R Winning Streak Signals Good Things for Z06

In case you haven’t been keeping track, the C7.R has quickly become the car to beat in the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship’s GT Le Mans class.

The Corvette Racing team recently earned its fourth-consecutive win in the Mobil 1 Sports Car Grand Prix with Antonio Garcia and Jan Magnussen at the wheel of the No. 3 Corvette. The Garcia and Magnussen duo are currently leading the series with 154 points; a nine-point lead over the No. 55 BMW Team RLL with 145 points.

The team’s run in the GT Le Mans class is a fitting intro for the C7.R’s consumer counterpart, the new Z06, as it revs up for its street debut.

Much of the C7.R’s success on the track is being attributed to a number of key features shared with the Z06, including chassis, engine technology and the aerodynamics strategy highlighted in the video below.
