Shopping for a 2021 C8 Corvette? Corvette Forum member reveals all the dealer and employee discounts with a complete guide.

Though the order book has closed on the shortened 2020 model year, the book for the 2021 edition of the C8 Corvette is wide open. And there are many Corvette fans out there waiting to get their hands on the rear mid-engine dream. The new year brings a couple of new exterior and interior colors, plus hood and racing stripes, among other options.

And the best part? Pricing remains the same as it did for the 2020 model year. Better yet, one of our Corvette Forum members recently leaked the full price guide for the 2021 C8 Corvette, including dealer and employee pricing. Let’s have a peek, shall we?

“Warning: UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS IS PROHIBITED & SUBJECT TO PROSECUTION!” writes C8Jake. From there, it’s just a click away to see how much everyone will pay for their C8 Corvette and options.

The first thing all will notice, of course, is how much dealers and employees will pay for their C8 Corvette. MSRP for the base 1LT coupe is $58,900. However, dealers receive a sizable discount, bringing it down to $53,245.60. Employees, meanwhile, can take one home for $53,012.10. That’s a difference of around $5,700 to $5,900 compared to what the general public will pay.

Should you be in the market for the first-ever retractable-roof convertible, though, the dealer and employee pricing is more dramatic. The top-tier 3LT trim is $77,850 MSRP. The dealer, however, pays just $70,376.40, and their employees can get theirs for $70,003.42. That’s a difference of anywhere around $7,500 to $7,850 off MSRP!

From there, the options list prove its good to be on the other side of the sales desk. For example, choosing your own VIN is a $5,000 option, while the dealership pays around $4,400. Meanwhile, the Z51 performance package, $5,995 for civilians, delivers a $720 discount for dealers and employees on top of the 495 horses the package already provides.

“So when does employee pricing start? Asking for a friend!” asks Stardompromo. Another member, imzx28, says to expect it “when sales of C8 start to soften.” He adds the discounts could come in 2022, if later, as discounts rolled in only after the second year of full production in previous generations.

Until then, some C8 Corvette fans may need to find jobs at their local Chevy dealer to get in on the good prices.
