To get a better understanding of exactly what gives the Z06 its edge, we solicited some seat time with Chris Barber, one of only 33 people in all of GM authorized to test anything the company takes on the track.

Check out this 11-second quarter mile by a Hennessey Performance C7 with a small 2.3L supercharger, new heads and cams, and a slight ECU tweak to give the Corvette over 700 horsepower.

It looks as though forum member “Lawdogg149’s” blown-engine troubles with his Corvette Z06 are behind him. You may recall Lawdogg was the first Z06 customer to experience engine failure with only 891 miles on his odometer.

Get a load of this B.S.: The title of the following video is “2015 Dodge Hellcat Annihilates 2015 C7 Z06 Chevrolet Corvette”. Hmm … “Annihilate” is a strong term. Watch the video, and you’ll see what I mean.
