Check out the World’s First 1,000-RWHP C7 Corvette Stingray
Unless some reclusive mad scientist in a Midwest garage has already boosted his or her C7 to 1,000 horsepower, but has decided to keep the accomplishment secret, then the Vengeance Racing Corvette Stingray pictured above is the world’s first C7 Corvette to enter the 1,000-horsepower magic kingdom … a veritable paradise where cars like the Bugatti Veyron and Koenigsegg Agera R hold court.
Vengeance has been logging a hefty payload of man hours dialing in their ECS supercharger system. Once they were satisfied with their first round of calibrations, their Corvette development car produced 890 horsepower and 743 lb-ft of torque at the wheels with 14 pounds of boost. The fun really started when Vengeance decided to experiment with how strong the LT1 motor really is, so they brought a 100-shot of nitrous to the party to spice things up. The result was 1,018 horsepower and 894 lb-ft of torque to assault the rear wheels.
Vengeance Racing is working on a street and track video of their 1,000-horsepower ‘Vette, but in the meantime, check out the video they posted a few days ago when the car was in an 832-horsepower state of tune.
