BREAKING: Chevrolet Discontinues Cup Holders on All C7 Corvettes

This is one of the things I like about Corvette Forum. We have the ability to change the way OEMs make a car. After multiple complaints from our members (which you can find in a post here), Chevrolet has announced that future Corvette models will be made without cup holders. The logic and reasoning is clear. If you own a car as exciting as the C7, you shouldn’t need that morning rush of caffeine; the car will do that for you.  As for a water bottle? That already comes with a cap that’ll seal everything up. Put it on the seat next to you.

For decades, the Germans have been ahead of us. The early BMW sport coupes had nothing that resembled a cup holder. Only recently have they been forced to comply with the demands of the average U.S. coffee-spill expert and regretfully add one. Their reasoning was simple: driving is serious business, so why are you having a beverage?

This is pretty interesting news, and it’s a story we are following directly from Media.GM.com. As always, we will have more updates as we hear them.

UPDATE: Thank you for enjoying our 2016 April Fools’ Day article.
