Chevy Gives New Corvette to 2019 World Series Winning MVP

Forget going to Disneyland, Washington Nationals pitcher Stephen Strasburg gets a 2020 C8 Corvette! 

Right about now, Stephen Strasburg might the the most envied person in America. His team, the Washington Nationals, just won their first World Series. Adding to that, the pitcher was awarded Most Valuable Player. And as the sweetest cherry on top of this sundae, Chevy gifted Strasburg with a beautiful, new 2020 C8 Corvette.

Strasburg was given the Corvette live on television following being awarded 2019 World Series MVP distinction. Well, technically he was given a proxy ‘Vette for promotional purposes. But Strasburg will get his mid-engined C8 early next year. Plus, he will be able customize to his taste with a dizzying array of options and configurations.

We certainly think a C8 Corvette is a major upgrade from the Silverados that Chevy gave to MVP recipients the last two years. Major League Baseball and Chevrolet have had a relationship going back many years, with the company serving as official MLB sponsor since 2005.

A big congratulations to the Nationals on their 2019 World Series win, and to Strasburg for his remarkable season! We can already guess who is going to show up spring training in the coolest ride.
