Color Us Excited: Two New Colors Coming to Corvette for 2015
When the 2015 Corvette goes into production later this year, it will be rolling off the Bowling Green assembly line in two new colors. The first color, known by GM internally as “Fusion Gray”, may end up being called “Shark Gray” of “Tiger Shark Gray”. The second color coming to Corvette for 2015 is a new shade of yellow.
While this news is exciting, there is a sad side to it: the new colors will be replacing Cyber Gray and Velocity Yellow. In a poll I posted in October, 11 percent of CorvetteForum readers picked Cyber Gray Metallic as their favorite color, ranking it fourth in popularity among the 10 available Corvette colors for the 2014 model year. Velocity Yellow Tintcoat ranked seventh place with eight percent of the vote. Torch Red was most popular with 17 percent of the vote.
