It’s clear that some complaints here at Corvette Forum, about the clarity of the C7’s PDR system, didn’t fall upon deaf ears.

As part of an ongoing Q&A with chief Corvette engineer, Tadge Juechter, a question was posed about the image quality of the video display system. So Juechter provided Corvette Forum with a few visuals highlighting the improvements in the PDR, as pictured above. It’s a noticeable difference from the previous image quality of the high-tech system in action, as depicted in the photo below.

“This is a perfect example of continuous improvement and backwards compatibility that I was asked about a couple weeks ago,” Juechter said in a Corvette Forum thread here. “GM engineering and our partner Cosworth have been working hard to improve the PDR and the user experience.”

The fix is part of a software change that included improvements in the color balance and sharpness of the image on the video. The update was released for the Bowling Green production facility at the end of March and will be made available to existing C7 owners in the next few weeks.
