About That Corvette Computer Thing… I’m Going To Build It

Project Stingray 1

So, let’s talk about that Corvette Computer thing from the other day. It started out as a silly idea in my head to modify a computer with Corvette parts, just for fun more than anything else. When I posted that piece, it created some very vocal responses. Some of you liked the idea, many of you didn’t, but it certainly got people talking.

Well, I have decided that I am going to build that computer. Parts are already arriving, and we are going to document the whole thing. We are using some of the best parts you can get today, and the goal is to create the ultimate simulation racing rig that can handle anything from three-monitor setups, to 4K and VR.

We are going to be writing about it here on Corvette Forum, and I’m going to be making videos to go with it. When all is said and done, I hope to have a nice collection of pieces that show off what parts you need, how to put them together, and what kind of experiences you can expect.

You can watch the first video below, it’s mostly this same recap, but with more animation. Enjoy, and be sure to keep your eyes open for other updates on what we are going to call Project Stingray. I can’t wait to get started.
