Corvette Forum Member Makes the Best Corvette Ad Ever

By -

Fast passes, lots of donuts, a lovely backdrop, and a blue C6 Z06 are all it takes to evoke the driving passion in all of us.

Not too many TV ads have been made to promote the Corvette in its decades of dominance. Not that America’s supercar needs them, of course, as its very presence is enough to draw eyes and dollars into the dealership.

That said, it would be wonderful to see a few less Cadillac XT4 ads, and a few more for our favorite icon. But where GM leaves off, the Corvette’s fans pick up, such as one of our Corvette Forum forum members, Patrick Kalyn.

“Do what you love, love what you do,” narrator Jay Martens says. Thus begins this short tour de force dubbed Ardor Amour: A Love Letter to Driving, starring Kalyn’s C6 Z06, roaring through the forest roads along the mountainside as Martens implores us all to leave our marks upon this world in honor of our forefathers.

Kalyn unleashes a ton of fury upon the asphalt under his Z06, swing the backside around and around, tires smoking it up like never before, the exhaust backfiring magnificently, ending with a charge back through the mountainside.

“Ardor amour is defined as an intense, passionate love affair,” says Kalyn in the video’s description. “This is my love letter to driving and a tribute to doing what you love.”

It also happens to be the best Corvette ad GM never made. Perhaps that should change, though. All the General needs to do is come on over to our CorvetteForum forums, and give Kalyn a call.
