Corvette DP Racecar Picks Up C7 Taillights

I know it’s only a Corvette in name more than anything else for most of us, but the new design elements on the Corvette DP (Daytona Prototype) are pretty damn hot.

The updated racecar, which will make its debut next week in a test run at Action Express Racing, features a new hood, headlights, and radiator inlet area, as highlighted in a Racer.com spread. But the true beauty that most here will be able to appreciate is the new rear that includes the taillight designs from the C7.

“The relationship Chevrolet’s racing programs have to our auto production lines is extremely important. That relevance of racecar to showroom is a hallmark of our racing heritage,” said Chevrolet Director of Racing, Mark Kent.
