Corvette C7 Wins MotorWeek’s ‘Best of the Year’

The 2014 Corvette Stingray has pulled in yet another coveted award, earning MotorWeek’s “Best of the Year” 2014 Drivers’ Choice Award.

Announced at the Chicago Auto Show, the award takes into account everything from exterior design to performance as well as pricing.

MotorWeek host John Davis said the new Corvette, which also won the 2014 North American International Auto Show Car of the Year, is an amazing overall package.

“Nothing is left out – from track-ready features, to impressive driver comfort, to the kind of fuel economy that is the envy of the sports car world.”

“It looks great from every angle, and is a total high performance package that is truly world class,” said Davis, in an official MotorWeek press release. “Nothing is left out—from track-ready features, to impressive driver comfort, to the kind of fuel economy that is the envy of the sports car world.”

Tim Mahoney, Chief Marketing Officer, Global Chevrolet, said Chevy is exceptionally proud of the award.

“With MotorWeek’s longstanding reputation for representing the pulse of the consumer and best market choices, Chevrolet is honored and delighted to be the recipient of the Drivers’ Choice, Best of the Year, 2014 with the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray,” said Mahoney.

Selected as the best among winning vehicles in 13 lifestyle categories, the Corvette also was recognized MotorWeek’s “Best Sport Performance Car.”

All Drivers’ Choice winners will be featured on the Velocity network beginning February 18.
