Does This Corvette Z06 Out-Rev a Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG?

V8 versus V8. American versus German. Two doors versus four doors. Performance model versus performance model. This right here is the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 versus the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG in an exhaust-against-exhaust war.

The Merc on the left is fitted with a second cat delete and straight pipes. The ‘Vette on the right has Kooks custom headers and a Borla exhaust. When the AMG unleashes all of its power, it roars. It’s loud and brash and tinny. When someone puts their foot on the gas in the Chevy, you hear a more subtle growl, but it’s deeper, meatier. You almost feel as if you could cup a bowl to the Corvette’s exhaust and eat it like porridge.

So what’s better? Louder or beefier?
