Corvettes at Carlisle 2018 Is Set to Salute America this Summer

Pennsylvania event is going to be bigger & more inspiring than ever with the world’s biggest flag comprised of Corvettes!  

We hope you will be joining Corvette Forum at Corvettes at Carlisle this summer because the 2018 event is going to be the biggest and most patriotic ever! The largest Corvette show in the world runs August 23-26 at the Carlisle Fairgrounds in Pennsylvania. And this year, Carlisle is bringing back one of its most memorable moments, and if your ‘Vette is red, white, or blue you’re going to want to check it out!

The producers of Corvettes at Carlisle are bringing back the “Stand and Support the Flag” photo project, which fans will recall made a truly inspiring moment at the 2015 event. The flag display is Friday (August 24) only and is comprised of over 150 Corvettes that span the history of the brand. There are approximately 57 red Corvettes, 51 white ones, and 35 blue ‘Vettes that make up the ‘ol Stars and Stripes. Oh, and Corvettes at Carlisle also welcomes nearly a dozen silver cars to recreate a flag pole and round out the flag project.

The flag build takes place between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., and it’s a logistical sight to behold. The flag will remain in place through approximately 4 p.m. with countless photo ops available throughout.

“Each year we receive requests about when we’ll be organizing another American Flag,” notes Carlisle Events co-owner and Corvettes at Carlisle event manager Lance Miller. “It takes a lot of time and patience for both the car owners and our staff, so we try not to do it every year. However, this year we felt compelled to once again construct an American flag from America’s favorite sports car, the Corvette. This display always turns out looking amazing and truly brings goosebumps when you see it in person, and this year will be no exception!”
