Family Feud: ZR1 vs CTS-V Drag Race

Ordinarily you’d think a stock Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 would be able to take on just about any thing comers.

But a recent quarter-mile run at Palm Beach International Raceway during the StreetCarDrags.com event breaks that mold as a Cadillac CTS-V Wagon gets off to an unbelievable start and goes on to whip the Corvette.

The ZR1 was apparently completely stock, down to its 638-hp 6.2-liter supercharged V8, along with stock tires, while the Caddy and its 556-hp 6.2-liter supercharged V8 had been tuned with upper and lower pulleys, new exhaust, and drag radials.

Sometimes the old veteran can be upstaged by the brash rookie (even if he is on steroids).
