First Production 2020 Corvette C8

GM also teased a new two-part documentary entitled Revolution: The Mid-Engine Corvette Development Story.

Well, folks, it’s finally here. Regular production of the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray coupe has commenced at General Motors Bowling Green Assembly in Bowling Green, Kentucky. After months of delays, supplier woes, and worries of where to buy a C8 at MSRP, the first mid-engine 2020 C8 Corvette Stingray coupe rolled off the production line February 3, 2020, a day that’s sure to be etched into the Corvette history books.

Revolution: The Mid-Engine Corvette Development Story

In addition to the official announcement, GM also teased a new two-part documentary about the making of the first-ever mid-engine Corvette. Entitled Revolution: The Mid-Engine Corvette Development Story, we, unfortunately, don’t know too much about this one just yet. There’s no official release date, but it’s our current understanding that you’ll be able to watch it on the official Corvette Website. Regardless, GM plans to tell this epic story, “through the eyes of the team that brought the C8 to life.”

“This car is not evolutionary, it’s revolutionary. And you only get once chance to do that right.”
