The seventh 2021 Chevrolet Corvette, the first produced in Silver Flare Metallic, is currently awaiting delivery.

In an unusual year by any measure, the automotive industry has been forced to do some pretty unique things amid the current global pandemic. For General Motors, that meant trying to manage the extreme demand for its brand-new 2020 C8 Corvette, which has proved to be a major challenge. Regardless, the automaker managed to crank out over 20,000 units, and the last 2020 model has been ordered by a dealership. Now, we’ve learned that the C8 has officially entered year two, as the very first Silver Flare Metallic 2021 Chevrolet Corvette sold order has rolled off the assembly line.

We know this because the customer that ordered the car – Adam Ellison – informed Corvette Action Center that his car made it through the production process on December 14. Needless to say, it’s a special honor in the Corvette world to have the first or last of anything, so Ellison has to be thrilled. He also shared details about the car, which gives us our first look at the future collectible, too.

The first 2021 Chevrolet Corvette sold order produced is finished in Silver Flare Metallic and wears VIN #M5100007. The car sports a contrasting Adrenaline Red and black two-tone interior, along with the chrome badge package, Carbon Flash wheels, and red-painted brake calipers. Ellison also opted for the Customer Selectable VIN option, which helped him acquire the seventh 2021 Chevrolet Corvette produced.

Fittingly, Silver Flare Metallic is one of two new exterior colors available on the 2021 Corvette, along with Red Mist Tintcoat Metallic. As of right now, Ellison is awaiting a delivery date for his shiny new ride, but promises to share that information when it’s available, as well as some real-life pictures of his 2021 Corvette.

With demand still through the roof for the C8, plenty of folks are sure to be envious of Ellison, regardless. But this is still good news for anyone waiting for their order to be fulfilled. Now, we can only hope that 2021 signals a return to normalcy for the automotive world so that perhaps GM can finally flatten the C8 supply/demand curve just a little, at the very least.
