Fix Scratches in Ceramic Coatings

have a couple of scratches in the coating of my headers. Not a real big
deal. But, if there\’s a fix that could help avoid rust, why not? I
called Jet Hot and talked to a tech. He suggested using Hi-temp silver
paint. Put some on a cue tip a rub it on. It looks really good. I found
that if you rub the paint with a rag just as it dries the paint comes off
the header but stays in the scratch. If needed you can prep the scratch
with steel wool. It will not hurt the coating. I was pleasantly surprised
as to how well this little tip worked.
