Homeless Man Steals Corvette, Drives to Strip Club
Now, as much as I’m adamantly against anyone taking another person’s stuff, especially their Corvette, there’s a part of me that finds this story really entertaining.
Sure, I’m fully aware it goes against a lot of moral principles — namely, “Don’t ever, ever touch another’s ‘Vette without permission.” But if it’s going to happen … I mean, if you actually had to find yourself in this unfortunate predicament, I’d imagine you’d prefer to fall victim to this scenario over any other.
Hell, if only for the sake of being able to share it with your buddies at the next cookout.
The story involves a homeless man who came across a convertible Corvette in Chicago with the keys left in it. The unhoused chap decided to take it for a spin to the local strip club, according to a Patch Chicago report. Even crazier, the 39-year-old took the car from right in front of a police station.
His response when caught? He just wanted to “check it out” and he would like to buy it from the owner.
Yup, folks, you can’t make this stuff up.
