How-To Tuesday: C6 Trim Specifics

4LT C6

A Corvette, is a Corvette, is a Corvette — am I right? No, you’re not right. Not all Corvette’s are created equal. The example this week is the sixth generation Corvette. The trim levels start at 1LT and move to 2LT, 3LT, and 4LT. So what really is the difference between the four options? I’m glad you asked, as that is where this week’s How-To Tuesday article can bring you up to speed (pun intended).

The C6 Corvette is still one of the most popular generations on the road for many reasons. One of the reasons is the ability to get a fantastic Corvette in a wide range of options and trims. Some of your more expensive cars on the road only have one trim; you either get all the bells and whistles, or you don’t get the car. Fortunately for us, Chevrolet learned long ago that not everyone wants, or can afford, all the bells and whistles. So they gave us the ability to pick and choose specific items to have installed on our Corvette.

So how about some examples you ask? Let’s start with the difference between the 1LT and 2LT packages. 1LT is the base package for the Corvette. It features ebony leather seats, floor mats, painted aluminum rims, power windows, manual transmission, and fog lights, just to name a few items. The 2LT package includes everything in the 1LT package but also includes side airbags, adjustable lumbar and side bolsters, bluetooth connectivity, as well as many other things.

Which trim trim is best for you? That’s a very personal decision, and I thank you for keeping that to yourself! Ok, so it’s not that personal, but in the end it comes down to what you think is important and what you can live without. And this week’s How-To Tuesday article is here to help you figure that out.
