Kelley Blue Book Tests the Corvette that ‘Dares You to Explore its Limits’

With 755 hp, the ZR1 has all the power we want, but how does it perform on the road?

There’s no doubt that the 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 has proven itself one of the most exciting cars we’ve seen in years. It’s got crazy amounts of velocity, styling, and performance to thrill. In a new video review by Kelley Blue Book‘s managing editor, Micah Muzio, he gets a chance to really put the hammer down and see what the 2019 Corvette ZR1 can do. And it is awesome.

Muzio says the ZR1 is “a car that begs, no, dares you to explore its limits.” Yes, please.

As we see shots of Muzio zipping around town, we get a quick rundown of what the ZR1 is capable of. It’s impressive as always. The front-engined car has a 6.2-liter V8 engine raging under the hood. It can hit 0 to 60 mph in less than 3 seconds. Oh, and it can hit 212 mph, making it the fastest production Corvette ever.

Next Muzio picks up a friend to show off the ‘Vette. Jaws drop at the exhaust note and exquisite handling. They laugh at Muzio’s internal struggle to adhere to the speed limit when driving such a beast.

The interior is luxe and filled with extras. Heated and ventilated Napa leather seats, Bose audio, curb-facing cameras are all brilliant touches. The PDR overlay, even when used in traffic, makes for an entertaining display.

Another aspect that Muzio is impressed by is the braking system and the four mode exhaust system. There’s no denying that this ‘Vette sounds badass. He also gets a kick out of the reaction other drivers have to the ZR1. From looks of awe to a Dodge Charger ready to rumble, it is a car that gets noticed.

The video gives a wealth of information about the 2019 Corvette ZR1. One thing we really like about this review is the sheer amount of fun that Muzio has with the Corvette. It is a car that truly inspires an adrenaline rush.
