KISS Front Man’s Corvette is a Waste of a Good C7 Body
For every 100 great-looking custom Corvettes like Jimmie Johnson’s ’67 Stingray, I guess there has to be one that you just wish would have stayed in the idea stage. I know this is probably going to piss a few people off, but I think this custom C7 done by Kiss’ Paul Stanley that was shown at SEMA should have never been done.
I mean, come on, look at that grille.
It all is just a waste of a good C7 body, and trust me, it comes with great pain for me to say that because I’m a longtime fan of Kiss’ music. Of course, it’s not like the rockstar actually did the work. To his credit, Stanley probably just made a few suggestions and left most of the work to Chevrolet, but he still probably approved the modifications.
For me, it’s just further confirmation that while entertainers can often afford a lot of cars, they don’t make for the best customizers, especially when it comes to tinkering with an American treasure like the Corvette.
