This new C8 Corvette convertible supercharger helps the LT2 crank out 700 horsepower and it co-exists peacefully with factory systems.

Nearly since its inception, a variety of aftermarket companies have offered power adders for the C8 Corvette, whether that be in the form of superchargers or turbos. It’s unsurprising that these parts are hugely popular with C8 owners, given the fact that most of us are always looking to add more power to our rides, and these are some of the easier and more effective ways of doing just that. Now, Lingenfelter has once again expanded its own catalog of these wares with a brand new C8 Corvette convertible supercharger it showed off at the Detroit Auto Show.

First shown at the 2021 SEMA Show, the new Lingenfelter C8 Corvette convertible supercharger utilizes the same TVS 2650 system as the company’s coupe blower, and it helps the car’s LT2 V8 crank out an impressive 700 horsepower and 675 pound-feet of torque, all while co-existing peacefully with the car’s factory systems. The supercharger also reportedly doesn’t have any sort of major impact on drivability or fuel economy, to boot.

Developed in tandem with Magnuson, his new supercharger kit includes a Lingenfelter by Magnuson TVS 2650 DI Intercooled Supercharger, Lingenfelter Performance Engineering Ported LT5 95 mm Throttle Body, and the proprietary Lingenfelter XCT Heat Exchanger System, which helps maintain low intake air temperatures to produce maximum power and reliability.

Both the coupe and convertible versions of the Lingenfelter by Magnuson 700 Horsepower TVS2650 C8 Corvette Magnum DI Intercooler Supercharger Package, as it’s officially known, are set to be released in the coming months. The coupe supercharger kit will be available starting October 1, 2022, while the drop-top variant will follow on January 1, 2023.

Unfortunately, Lingenfelter isn’t talking pricing warranty, performance numbers, and other details at the moment, but all of that pertinent info will be released on the first of October as well. In the meantime, you can check out the new kit by heading over here, and Lingenfelter’s product notification list is also available for those that would like to receive real-time updates when more information is released.
