Lingenfelter is Doing Something Amazing with the New Corvette Z06
When you see the word “Lingenfelter”, you think speed before your brain has a chance to initiate your next breath. Lingenfelter knows super-high-horsepower GM products well enough to frighten the pants off you, not just when you ride in their cars, but also when you read about them.
Here I present to you the first Lingenfelter Corvette Z06.
You might be asking, “How is this Z06 really any different than all the other modified Z06s we’ve seen in the past? Didn’t they just do a new ECU tune and call it a day like everyone else?” Nope, not in the slightest.
They changed the blower! Yes, you read that right. Lingenfelter decided the stock Eaton unit just wasn’t up to the task with this new Z06, so they added an Edelbrock supercharger.
With just the addition of the Edelbrock, the car gained an extra 100 horsepower. That’s definitely nothing to write home about, until you understand that this is just the benchmark point. They’re looking to rework a whole host of other parts within the car to make it terrifyingly quick.
We’ll definitely be keeping our eyes on this gloriously depraved undertaking.
