Live from NAIAS: The Corvette Z06/C7R Reveal

It was a madhouse over at the Corvette booth this morning at the Z06/C7.R reveal. This is it, in the flesh. Let’s get straight to the important bits:

  • Supercharged LT4
  • 625 horsepower
  • 635 ft lbs of torque
  • 7-Speed Manual
  • 8- speed Automatic Gearbox
  • Electronic LSD

For those of you wondering if you’d be able to get the Z06 in convertible form, you kinda will. The roof is a removable piece of carbon fiber. The aluminum structure of the Z06 is strong enough that this is the way the car comes standard. Whether or not there’ll be a soft-top convertible has yet to be announced, but I’m not counting on it.

We’ll post a full break down later today. Along with press photos and more shots from the show floor. Chevy’s got a lot going on this year. In the meantime, soak in the new Z06 and the C7.R race car. If you’ve got an opinion, let us know in the forums!
