 1971 Corvette LT1

Here’s a classic drive down memory lane, and quite a coveted piece of machinery for classic Corvette fans.

The 1971 Corvette LT1 350 featured on this episode of “Muscle Car of the Week” is a definite eye-catcher. Yes, it symbolized a slight reduction in horsepower to allow General Motors’ V8s to meet new emission standards, but the small block still cranked out some respectable numbers, as highlighted by host Kevin Oeste (aka Professor Muscle Car). Horsepower was rated at 330 with 360 gross ft.-lbs of torque at 4,000 PM from that beautiful 350ci engine.

The thing that many might not know, however, is that this C3 shares a connection to a few high-profile celebrities. Well, sort of. The Stingray’s color, called Bridgehampton Blue, is named after that coveted real estate in New York where some of the entertainment industry’s biggest A-listers hold residence.

Not sure that means much to anyone here, but I think it’s an interesting tidbit.
