This Could Very Well Be The Most Interesting C3 Project We’ve Ever Seen

By - C3 Corvette Lifted 4x4 Off-road

It’s lifted. It’s a 4×4. And it’s pretty gosh darn awesome, too.

Restorations are one thing, resto-mods are another, but throwing a C3 body on top of a 4×4 frame is not your usual weekend project. We found this one on eBay and couldn’t help but admire some of the unique parts of the build.

For starters, the frame is obviously no longer that of a Corvette. A frame donated from a 2-door Blazer is the basis of the conversion. Power from a V8 wasn’t originally found in this chassis, but in keeping with a Corvette’s traditional number of cylinders, a 4-bolt main Chevrolet 350 cubic-inch motor was added. Fully functioning 4-wheel drive means this Corvette can go where Corvettes never dared to before.

Now, the body isn’t perfect, but being that this C3 project isn’t complete, it does offer a great deal of room for creativity. Being based on a ’76, the rear buttress has been converted into a truck bed of sorts, and even the rear bumper was turned it into a tailgate. An exo-skeleton cage is also added and would look great with an off-road Baja style spare tire carrier.

Things inside offer uh…room for creativity. You could try to retrofit old gauges, but the Blazer’s digital dash currently is the source of your vital information. Door panels and everything else look completely unfinished.

What we want to know is, what would you like to see as a final product for this? Finish it as close to a C3 as possible, or go wild with the off-road features and make a MadMax style monster?
