New Z06 and C7.R share a lot more than speed
There’s been a lot of talk about the speed of the new Corvette Z06 as a street car engineered from the same DNA as the C7.R. Then again, with the new Z06’s reported 0-60 time of 2.95 seconds as covered here, it’s certainly worthy of discussion.
Still, speed isn’t the only thing that the new super ‘Vette shares with its racing counterpart. In fact, it’s really just the tip of the iceberg. It’s the technology transfer with everything from the aerodynamics to the use of carbon fiber materials that really makes the new Z06 the baddest Corvette ever, which the video below does a good job of explaining.
