News Rally: Z06 Configurator, Nine-Second C6, Barrett-Jackson Wrap-Up
In this news rally, we’ve got the latest on the Z06 configurator, a nine-second C6, and a Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas 2014 wrap-up.
Spec Out that Z06 You’ve Been Dreaming About
If you’ve got a few minutes (OK, more like half an hour) you might want to check out this Chevy link to spec out that Z06 you’ve thinking about.
It’s eagerly waiting for you to come visit.
Although the Chevy site doesn’t let you fully build out your new 650-horsepower American dream car, it does provide a pretty good rundown on the options, colors, wheels, trims, interiors and body styles.
Personally, I just find the configurator pretty cool, even though at $80,000 the Z06 is way out of my pay scale.
C6 Roars Out a Nine-Second Quarter-Mile
If you’re a fan of the C6, then you’ll love this one.
The video shows a badass ZR1 revving up for a run on the drag strip, and then pulling off a 9.93-second run on the track, but it’s that roar coming from the tailpipes that really leaves you appreciating the last-gen ‘Vette even more.
OK, enough from me. Check out the video to hear this thing’s menacing rumble for yourself.
A Look Back at Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas 2014
I certainly appreciate all the buzz the new Corvette is getting from these auctions, especially with the new Z06 going for a whopping $1 million earlier this year, but the Barrett-Jackson auction recently held in Las Vegas proved once again that buyers still haven’t lost their love for those classic ‘Vettes.
In addition to the first production model of the new 2015 Stingray selling for $400,000 at last week’s event, below are a few classic sales you might have missed.
