Hundreds Turn Out for Santa Clarita Corvette Show
There’s nothing like 100 or so Corvettes gathered together, all washed and waxed – especially if it’s for a great cause.
That was certainly the case in Santa Clarita, California earlier this month, where Corvette fans gathered to help raise money for the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley.
The event, hosted by The Santa Clarita Valley Corvette Club, drew roughly 1,000 people to the Route 66 Classic Grill in Canyon Country to check out the Corvettes on hand, according to The Signal. That’s pretty impressive for a city of roughly 213,000 people. And Joe Ryan, chairman for the car show, seems to have a pretty good idea why so many people turned out.
“[The Corvette] is the only true American sports car,” Ryan told The Signal. “If you’ve ever owned one, you’d get it.”
Well, I can’t imagine Mr. Ryan will be getting any argument here on that one.
