OPTIMA Presents Corvette of the Week: First-Rate Retirement Gift

This week’s Corvette of the Week comes from “dahogan” who says this Silver Pearl 1966 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray L79 Coupe was a retirement gift to himself.

Truth be told, dahogan didn’t actually retire, but I can’t blame him for coining this car his retirement gift. Calling this car a retirement gift paints a more colorful picture of what this ’66 Sting Ray represents.

You figure a member of the workforce puts in a good 25, 35 90, or however many years of blood, sweat and tears into the societal machine … there’s got to be something good that comes out of all those decades in the rat race.

In comes a shiny ‘Vette, and suddenly all those years of the “nine to five” seem to have served their purpose because when you find yourself in the driver’s seat of a Corvette, all that exists is that moment — none of the trials and tribulations of the past, and none of the concerns and worries of the future.

Give dahogan kudos on the forum. >>
