Stolen 1969 Corvette Goes Unclaimed
OK, before anyone starts getting any funny ideas, I need you to know that simply saying you lost a 1969 Corvette some years ago isn’t going to fly to get this beauty.
However, if you think you might really be the rightful owner of this classic blue ‘Vette stolen in Portland some 26 years ago, then you might want to give the office of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents a call.
The Corvette was discovered in August along with a few other stolen vehicles during a routine customs check in Los Angeles in a shipment on its way to Europe, according to a KOIN 6 TV report. So far, only the owner of a vintage Jaguar convertible has been found. That owner’s car was stolen 46 years ago.
Let’s hope it doesn’t take long to reunite this Corvette with its owner.
