Winner Steve Lane (left) gets the keys from Father Chris Forler (Pastor) to the Corvette in front of Saint Bernard Church in Rockport, Indiana on Friday, July 19, 2013.

The winner of the 25th Annual Classic Corvette Giveaway benefiting Saint Bernard Parish and School in Rockport, Indiana, drove from Chasaning, Michigan to claim his prize. He will receive a 1960 Corvette convertible valued at approximately $70,000.
Steve Lane, along with a good friend, arrived in Rockport on July 19, 2013, pulling a car hauler. “I still can’t believe I won this stunning car,” said Lane. “I only bought one raffle ticket!”  Lane’s name was drawn at the conclusion of the Saint Bernard Summer Social on July 14.
Lane says this is the first time he has ever won anything. After a few photos and videos, Lane took a test drive through the streets of Rockport before loading his prize on the trailer for the eight-hour trip back to his home in Michigan.
All 10,000 tickets were sold for this year’s raffle. People from as far away as Australia, Italy, Germany, New Zealand, Canada and all across the United States purchased tickets.
Saint Bernard Church purchased the car from ProTeam Corvette Sales in Napoleon, Ohio. Tickets will go on sale for the 26th annual Corvette raffle in January, 2014.  Proceeds benefit Saint Bernard Parish and Saint Bernard Elementary School, the only parochial school in Spencer County.
