I think it’s safe to say that Jay Kirn of Perryville, Missouri is feeling like a winner — and rightfully so. The auto body shop owner is also the proud owner of a 1965 Corvette, which was recently recognized by the National Corvette Restorers Society (NCRS) with a National Top Flight award.
I’m betting there’s no Corvette owner happier than Scott Bachmann right now. The 42-year-old just pulled off what I’m sure seemed like an impossible task when he first started tracking down an orange 1973 Stingray that his dad owned back in the ’70s.
OK, before anyone starts getting any funny ideas, I need you to know that simply saying you lost a 1969 Corvette some years ago isn’t going to fly to get this beauty.
It’s not often you come across a tribute to someone on a Corvette window, so when I stumbled on this photo, I felt a need to find out exactly who was Cody Veverka.
Now, as much as I’m adamantly against anyone taking another person’s stuff, especially their Corvette, there’s a part of me that finds this story really entertaining.
