A quick rundown comparing the Z06’s power and pricing against other formidable rivals paints a picture depicting a lot of bang for the buck.

It appears the new Z06 is going to come in as the heaviest Corvette ever at 3,524 lbs. for the coupe. Compare that with 3,175 lbs. for the 2013 Z06. That’s a difference of 349 lbs.

Here’s a sight to behold – what appears to be the new 2015 Corvette Z06 getting some test time in on a public road.

The guys at SuperVettes are inching closer and closer to unleashing their modified version of the C7 called SV7. Initial images released indicate that the Florida-based team is definitely shooting for a much wider body with their reinterpretation of the new Stingray.

So how does this sound? Chevy: “We’ll give you a few hours to photograph the new 2015 Convertible Corvette Z06 for a chance to win $5,000.” Well, that’s exactly what happened, and a New York-based college student by the name of Dan Wang walked away with the cash and the opportunity of a lifetime.

Well, you can add the first retail model of the 2015 Corvette Z06 to the coveted car collection of motorsports king, Rick Hendrick. The chairman of the Hendrick Automotive Group paid $1 million for the car at the Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction in Palm Beach, Florida this past weekend. Not that it really should come as a big surprise: Mr. Hendrick, an avid Corvette enthusiast, also paid $1 million for the first production model of the 2014 Stingray last year at a Barrett-Jackson auction.
