The C7 Corvette Is Every Other Supercar’s Nightmare
Advertisements can sometimes be a bit boring. We assume that we have to watch the Super Bowl in order to see the coolest and latest content from the advertising market, but as we see with this one below, that’s not always the case. Independent advertiser Jefferey J. Hart created an excellent commercial, which somehow went under the radar during the 2014 launch of the C7 Corvette Stingray.
Taking a play on adolescence, Jeffrey positions another new supercar as the child that is trying to sleep at night, but is having a whole lot of trouble since it has already learned about the monster under the bed. Or in this case, across the pond.
With a soundtrack on loan from the underworld, the Stingray breaks though the sleepless night of the British dreamer, transforming from a British nightmare into an American dream.
The ad may not have been seen by many — this is actually the first time I’ve seen it — but the point is clear. The Chevrolet Corvette is telling other supercars that their time is up. It’s time to wake up and face the car that is in your nightmares.
