The C7 Will Look Like…

It’s a given the body won’t be made out of metal?but the truth is we just don’t know what the General’s new baby will look like. At this point, the only people who could accurately say are still hard at work refining it?and none of them are talking. The clearest indication of styling cues so far has come from GM Product Design Head Ed Welburn, who has publicly said that the C7 will feature a split-window, as seen on the iconic ’63 Sting Ray, and more recently, the Corvette concept which had a starring role in the last Transformers. Can he be trusted? Who knows? That said, the General has been crystal clear about the fact that we shouldn’t expect Sideswipe?as he’s known in the film?to be rolling into local dealers in late 2013. But given the overwhelmingly positive reception, I wouldn’t be surprised to see some elements from the friendly robot incorporated into the design.
