The program manager of Corvette Racing, the legendary Doug Fehan, and two-time Le Mans-winning Corvette driver, Tommy Milner, were on hand during the Simeone Museum’s celebration of all things Corvette and motorsport this weekend. The museum was open to Corvette fans of all ages to show off some of the brand’s best racers from history, and host a Q&A session with Doug, Tommy, and Corvette Racing’s official photographer Richard Prince.

As part of the festivities, there was a dinner where Fehan and Milner recapped the 2016 Corvette Racing season in IMSA’s WeatherTech Sports Car Championship. And then after dinner, they signed autographs.

The Simeone Museum also brought out one of their prized display pieces: the 1963 Corvette Grand Sport #GS002 (Roger Penske’s car) and fired it up for everyone assembled. There was even an opportunity to buy raffle tickets for a chance to ride around in Grand Sport #002. The Museum warned ahead of time though: “Bring earplugs just in case you win. This is the loudest car in the entire museum collection!”

There was also a Corvette Racing memorabilia auction, and more time with Fehan and Milner telling stories from their individual careers. Prince also brought some of his photos to display, highlighting the best moments of Corvette Racing’s time on track.

Did you make it to the event? What was the best part?
