What the 2015 Corvette Z06’s VIR Lap Time Means to the Owners of European Exotics

I’ll definitely be forwarding this link to all of the fans of those so-called European “supercars.”

In fact, if you know of any, send me their email addresses because a stock 2015 Z06 pulling off a 2:41.3 lap on a 4.1-mile layout at Virginia International Raceway (VIR) should shut up all of those Z06 doubters for good.

The run, clocked by one of the best drivers on GM’s engineering team, was faster than the 2:43.1 lap posted by Car and Driver in the $845,000 Porsche 918 Spyder hypercar on the same VIR course.

Don’t you just love how those fancy import buyers pay all of that cash only to find out that an American car priced at a fraction of the cost is as quick or quicker?

If we could only get Chevy to nail us down an official time for the new Corvette Z06 on the Nürburgring…
