Creatures of habit rarely change, and being car enthusiasts, our habits largely center around changing a car to suit our needs. The Corvette does suit our needs for the most part, but some of us can’t keep our grubby little hands to ourselves, and we seek out ways of changing things. But what mod gives you the biggest return? In a recent Corvette Forum thread, members discuss the mods that make a night and day difference.
For the C6, a throttle management system seems to make a big difference. It takes away some of the delay that the factory drive-by-wire seems to have in its system. For some, different seats actually produce a more pleasurable driving experience. Also, performance tires make a big difference over the relatively tame tires that come standard. In terms of waking things up (including your neighbors), exhaust modifications go a long way. A new exhaust might not add all that much horsepower, but it does add another dimension to the experience. If you wanted some extra horsepower, camshafts and headers yield the best results. Of course, if you really wanted to go all out for a night and day difference, slap a supercharger on it.
