Worthy Of Praise: R8 Owner Wooed By C7 Corvette
The Corvette is one hell of a car. The new C7 arguably has one of the best performance and looks combination from any car in its price range. Owners are truly enthusiasts, and what makes enthusiasts great is the diversity of things they like. Though it might not seem like the American recipe of big a V8 engine up front with power directed to the back wheels, other cars, such as the Audi R8, are very well respected. And rightly so.
You may recall that we reviewed the R8 last year, and gave it quite high marks. It deserves its place in the spotlight too, but one of the C7’s amazing qualities is its ability to snag owners from other companies who are in the business of producing high-caliber cars. In a recent thread on the forums, one R8 owner is being won over quite assuredly by the new Z06’s performance, looks, and improvement in build quality. It bears mentioning that this R8 is of the more powerful V10 variety, rather than the V8. It’s mighty impressive to see the humble Corvette win hearts and minds across a wide spectrum.
