Would You Pay $290K for a Rarely-Optioned C7 Corvette ZR1???

C7 Corvette ZR1

This C7 Corvette ZR1 is one of one with its particular series of options, but does that make it worth nearly $300k?

There’s no denying that the C7 Corvette ZR1 is still a very special car for a number of reasons, chiefly among them the fact that it’s the very last front-engine version of the ultimate, “king of the hill” Corvette. The C7 Corvette ZR1 is still a celebrated vehicle that has seen its value rise steadily in recent years, even with the introduction of the C8 and now, the C8 Z06. We imagine that the value of this particular car will only continue to rise moving forward as well, but we’re not so sure it has risen to the point where somebody can get $290k for one, as is the case with this example up for grabs on eBay.

To be fair, just 2,441 ZR1 Coupes were built in 2019, which isn’t a lot. And this one has quite a few rare features to offer collectors, including the fact that it’s one of seven finished in Ceramic Gray with a Spice Red interior, one of four in that combo with the Competition Seats, and the only one of that group also fitted with Satin Graphite Painted Aluminum Wheels.

It’s also very well optioned, with a list that includes the 3ZR Premium Equipment Group, the Track Performance Package, the 8-speed automatic transmission, the aforementioned wheels and seats, red seat belts, and wheel locks, which brings the car’s total MSRP to $142,335. This particular ZR1 also has just 12 miles on the clock, so clearly someone bought it with the intention of flipping it for a profit at some point.

Of course, the C7 ZR1 is a special machine, largely thanks to its supercharged 6.2-liter LT5 powerplant, which churns out an impressive 755 horsepower and 715 pound-feet of torque. With unique aero and a curb weight of around 3,500 pounds, performance is brisk, and for those that prefer the front-engine Corvette, it’s about as good as it gets. But is even one of the nicer, more rarely-optioned examples out there worth nearly $300k? Well, we’ll just have to wait and see if anyone ponies up the cash to bring this one home.
