C5 parts needed. Most of these are factory failures and no replacements are available.

Well it appears us LS7 guys are going to have to wait a week because all the C5 guys need parts. That's OK, were used to blowing up motors and having to pay 3K to get Heads Rebuilt.

I think it's fair to say you can automatically submit us next week?

No, I'm going to try to follow some sense of process and protocol here. It'll assuredly make the poll for next week, so you'll have to drum up support again. But I'll bet it won't be that difficult to do.

We still have almost 24 hours. You could still pull the win here...

I appreciate process and protocols, we have drummed up a ton of support and people are not going to go through and re-do it all over again. I hope the question will stay with the numerous pages of support and make the question list again.

While I feel bad for the C5 guys not being able to get parts, I also feel bad for us C6 Zo6 owners who have lost engines and will continue to do so, as well as those of us who have spent 3K+ getting them repaired.

Clicking a vote button doesn't take much effort. This is a community thing and the only way to make it work is if the community participates.

And stop with the sour grapes as it's unbecoming.

Why bother at this point, I have spent a lot of time Championing this cause, my heads have recently been rebuilt, I have no skin in the game except to help others and for GM to actually admit fault and do something about it.

Someone else pick up the ball and run with it now. I don't particularly care for your reply about sour grapes, that is unbecoming of you as well.

I say we prioritize safety. I would hate to hear of an owner being injured in an incident where abs or traction control could of helped. I've personally been saved from accident by both numerous times, sometimes due to my stupidity and sometimes due to factors I had no control over. Either way the car was designed for them to function and the problem needs some sort of reasonable solution.

I also want a C6Z, but I'm not sure if a valvetrain failure could lead to an accident. I'd say possibly, but I'm just not caught up on what happens internally in the engine when a valve commits seppuku. Does it or could it cause the engine to seize? Would this potential engine seizure lock up the drivetrain and lead to a wreck?

you guys are wasting your time....I have a 99 as well but the truth is they only have an obligation to make parts for 10 years and that ship has sailed

Here is my reply to Howie in another thread, my apologies to JVP, I thought he deleted my reply, wrong thread.

So if one of you guys want to take over, I am done:

And with that, I am done trying to help the C6 Z06 question, someone else can run with it, I have invested a lot of time and energy into this subject and have much better things in life to focus on
