Default Will Software updates ever be offered?

Question could be expanded to include nonperformance items like updates to software running on head unit, Nav, etc. If they ever release the ability to add apps, will that feature be available to previous years, etc. Tesla has a good procedure in place for these types of updates. Thanks.

I have a feeling there probably isn't that much to add to the older systems. The C6 technology was developed before 2005 and the C5s before 1997(?), So these systems are pretty limited compared to what's coming out now. I'm guessing unless there's a problem which might crop up, there probably isn't all that much that's updatable....as long as everything works as it should, I can't see much movement in this area.
