Patents are often an indication of innovation. It’s no secret that GM uses both production and race Corvettes as platforms for RDT&E.

I’m curious as to how many patents have been filed for tech originally designed for the C7?

Patents granted are public information. No secrets there.


It would be interesting to know the actual patent numbers and titles, not just how many patents have been applied for or granted.

It definitely is public info, what's not public is how many have actually made it on the platform.

Considering some car builds end with 40-50 total patents for the car, and GM filed 40+ just for the Corvette's transmission
