Will there be a "Grand Sport" in 2017?

Drifting
Love them or hate them they serve a purpose. They create a low pressure zone behind them which assists in extracting air from the brakes and wheel wells which reduces lift and reduces brake temperatures.

Safety Car
They are to comply with German law as was the case with this GS.

I think the Grandsport is going to be revealed at the Geneva auto show.

I am planning on ordering in the summer, that's when I was going to pull the trigger on a Z06 and coincident with paying off both my other cars. Now I can order what I want: Z06 looks/function minus the +190 HP that I will never use. This will be my daily driver.
As a plus, the savings in purchase cost (about 10K factoring in my allowed dealer markup of up to 2K) easily pays for gas and tire change over a planned ownership of at least 6 years (10 would be nice), which will further translate into addition cost savings due to better mpg (projecting 21 combined mpg, 1 less than the Stingray, vs. 18 for the Z06). Also, a simpler engine setup is less to maintain over the long haul.
2016 Z06 and Stingrays have a $1000 cash back incentive (perhaps compensating for sales deficiencies resulting from model year and transportation cost increases). If the dealership markup is unacceptable, I'll wait a year. I'm a patient monkey.
