Certainly would love to hear an answer, and maybe GM will take some notice, but I guess the bottom line is: When I see a new fast lap time, I'll need to look at the data closely for a spike in the time delta.
Its more work, and its annoying for a high dollar feature, but it is what it is at this point.

This is SilveradoSS500's fastest lap at COTA in my road course thread and it's got a glitch of 2 seconds.
At the 2:35 mark, after he crosses the line, the timer jumps back 2 seconds from :06 to :04 at turn 1.
His data reflected the same time

Lawdogg's fastest at Road Atlanta
3:50's ish mark, his timer jumps from :24 to :22...he ain't gonna be happy, it was his fast lap that "beat Milner"...lol.

Snormans fastest at Sebring...1:04 into the vid, as his timer passes 1:03 jumps to 1:01. Pretty clear it just isn't a one car issue.
So what's the chance the Nurburgring PDR run had this and they couldn't release it as a result??
