Default [ASKED] PDR Fix and Improvements

There appears to be an issue with the PDR system where it periodically and randomly winds back the lap timer while recording.

Multiple forum members have seen this happen and I've had this happen in both in my car and in the cars at Spring Mountain.

There is a detailed thread with screen captures already on the forum here: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...e-anomaly.html.

You can see in this post https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...post1591345523 a screen shot of the Cosworth toolbox. Look at the time delta line. It goes near vertical at about the 30 sec mark even though I’m still running normally.

Also, you can watch this video at around the 1:52 mark. Just watch it in ¼ speed and you can clearly see the lap time go from 21s to 19s.

Is GM aware of this problem and is there a fix in the works? It's not the sort of thing a dealer is going to be able to replicate or fix on their own.

- Allow the user to decide which elements are presented and how big each pane is (i.e. measures graph, video, track map). The way it decides where to place the various panes is very frustrating and it would be great to resize things so that for instance I can see more of the measures graphs on the screen.
- Allow the user to select which measures to graph rather than just the two options provided
- Provide video playback controls that include slow motion. Sometimes it's great to slow things down to see what is happening in both the measures and the video.
- Add an ability to deal with many PDR files and at least identify key characteristics like fastest lap or highest value. Right now it's tough to come back from the track and have to open 10 or more files one by one to find your fast lap.
- It would be great if it was more touch friendly for tablets at the track.

Finally, the software seems to crash rather frequently. This seems to occur more if you do a lot of start/stop with the video.

I've not seen another system out there that integrates video with data as well as the PDR with Cosworth Toolbox. If GM can work out some of the usability and provide better data analytics it will really be a class leader.
Another suggestion for the wish list:
- ability to output the vehicle/lap data to a stand-alone *.csv file.

I'm going to recommend (ie: strongly encourage) that you remove the "Cosworth Toolbox" essay and questions. Replace it with, perhaps, a question to him such as: Is there a way for Corvette owners to provide direct feedback and feature requests to Cosworth?

This definitely will get my vote. I'd be willing to bet that GM has no idea that this is a problem, but it makes the PDR much less useful for the track if it cannot be trusted without a second by second review of hot lap footage.

It is particularly interesting that the anomaly seems to reproducibly introduce a 1.8s decrease in random laptimes. Not sure what that means, but it must be significant somehow.

Sorry guys, I saw the earlier thread that jvp was trying out using thanks instead of votes and just hit the thanks button early on. I didn't realize we had a vote thread.
