Default C6 dry sump OLI distance reduction

Why does a C6 dry sump LS3 with 75% more oil indicate the oil should be changed in fewer miles than a wet sump engine driven the same way? The dry sump LS3 engine with 10.5 quarts of oil will count down to zero % oil life in about 7,500 miles but a wet sump LS3 with 6 quarts will do the same in about 10,000 miles. Is this because the dry sump with it's external air/oil cooler takes forever to get the oil up to temp and thus on short trips (less than 20 minutes) never completely warms up?

Sounds like you answered your own question. A while back it was descussed that because of the oil never getting hot enough to burn off all the nastyness it had to be changed more often. Do a search on it
