Hi folks im very excited to finally finish my project on 79 (muncie conversion) .i bought a 168 tooth flywheel it seems like they match with starter but before i go ahead and run and damage the teeth i like to ask u if there is any difference between manual vs auto starter thank u

if you look at vendor sites some show different starters for auto vs manual

I could be wrong. But the only difference that I'm aware of is the nose one is cast iron in one is aluminum I want to say.

I have block plate on it .no cone some starters say they fit in both some say automatic thats where i got confused

the flywheel has 168 teeth.
how many teeth on the old flex plate from the automatic?
